COOK UP RICE WITH SPINACH RECIPE

This recipe is one of my favorite rice recipes. It is full of flavors and spices. It is a perfect dish to go with your favorite meats and seafood recipes. This recipe is veggie friendly. This Spinach Rice Recipe is very easy to prepare and doesn’t require to many ingredients.

Ingredients:

2 cups of Long grain white rice

1 1/2 cup of frozen chopped Spinach

4 cups of Coconut milk

2 tsps of minced garlic

Turmeric powder

Sea salt or regular salt

Dry basil leaves

Garlic salt

Seasoning salt

1/2 of a medium onion chopped

1 1/2 cup of chopped frozen spinach

1 teaspoon of butter

Prep:

Measure and add rice to a large pot

Wash rice until the water is clear

Add 1/2 of the chopped onions

Lightly sprinkle some dry basil leaves

Add 2 teaspoons of minced garlic

1 1/2 Cup of frozen chopped spinach

Add 1 teaspoon of unsalted butter

Add 4 cups of coconut milk

Lightly sprinkle some salt

Mix all the ingredients

Lightly add some seasoning salt and mix

Add the remainder of the chopped onion

Add about 1 tablespoon of garlic salt

Add 2 pinches of turmeric powder and mix

Cook covered on medium heat until the coconut milk has decreased

and the “Cook Up Spinach Rice” is visible

Reduce heat and continue cooking the rice until

The coconut milk has completely dried out of the rice

You can check by removing some rice from the pot with a spoon

The rice should be mostly scatered and slightly moist

P.S Make sure to use the correct rice to avoid your “Cook Up Spinach Rice” from being mushy.
