HOW TO MAKE DORITOS CHICKEN FINGERS
Doritos chips is one of my favorite chips. So I thought hat it would be cool to try the Glaze and Poppin Jalapeno Doritos. I enjoy eating spicy foods and snacks. I noticed that when I cook experimental or unusual foods, I discover new recipes. This is a very easy recipe that the kids can help you prep.
Ingredients needed for this recipe:
1 Bag of Doritos Poppin Jalepeno
3/4 Bag of Doritos Blaze
1 lb of chicken tenderloin
Vegetable oil
Seasoning salt to taste
Chicken seasoning
Onion and garlic powder
Dry parseley
Dry thyme
2 large eggs beaten
Paprika
White distilled vinegar
Prep:
Place the chicken tenderloins in a bowl
Add 1 cup of vinegar to the bowl
Add water to cover the chicken
Set aside to soak for 5 -10 minutes
Grab your blender and it does not have to be a Ninja
Place the Doritos Poppin Jalapeno chickens 1/2 bag
at a time into a blender
Blend the chips until it has a fine grained texture
Set aside into a bowl
Place 3/4 of the bag of Doritos Blaze into the blender
Blend until it has a fine grained texture
Set Aside in a seperate bowl
Rinse the chicken with some cool water
Add some sesoning salt to taste by lightly sprinkling
over the chciken
Cover the chicken with some onion powder
Cover the chicken with some garlic powder
Sprinkle some parseley and some driy thyme
Lightly sprinkle some dry basil
Use you clean hand to rub the seasonings and spices
onto the chicken
Set aside for 10 minute to infuse the different flavors
It can also be chilled until you are ready to cook
Grab 3 large ziploc freezer bags
Add the fine grained Blaze Doritos into one of the
bags and set it aside
Repeat the above step with the poppin jalapeno
using the second bag
Beat 2 large eggs in a bowl and set them aside
Preheat 1/2 of a large frying pan or
skillet of vegetable oil on medium heat
Place the marinated chicken tenderloins into the
last bag
Add the beaten over the chicken and seal the bag
Gently coat the pieces of tenderloin with the egg
solution
This step will help the Doritos to stick to the
chicken
Add half of the seasoned tenderloins to the bag
with the fine grained Doritos blaze
Seal the bag and shake to coat the chicken
Make sure all the piece are entirely covered with the
Doritos
Set on a plate
Add the remaining seasoned chicken tenderloin into
the last bag with the Doritos Poppin Jalapeno
Thightly seal the bag and lightly shake to cover
the pieces of chicken on both sides
Gently place each coated tenderloin
into the preheated oil one at a time
To prevent splashing of hot oil or burns
Line a plate with some paper
Fry the chicken until both sides are slighlty brown
Make sure to turn the chcicken occasionaly
Remove from the pan
Place on the paper towel to remove the excess oil
Serve with condiments of your choice
Enjoy!
Thoughts:
My Doritos Chicken fingers came out very tasty and
crispy but still juicy on the inside.
This recipe is great to serve during parties as an
appetizer.
