Spinach Spaghetti Recipe with Shrimps
This "Spinach Spaghetti Recipe" with shrimps is a very simple and easy recipe. It's the perfect I had a taste for some spaghetti and shrimps. I also had some fresh spinach that I wanted to cook. So I combined the three ingredients together with a few herbs and flavors. This dish was absolutely amazing with a side of fresh sweet baked corn on the cobb.
So let's see what ingredients we will need
for this recipe.
2 fresh corns
1 Pack of thin spaghetti,
1 Cup of mixed chopped bell peppers
A Handful of fresh spinach chopped
8 oz of uncooked shrimps
Dry celery flakes
Dry parsley flakes
Seasoning salt to taste
Garlic powder
Onion powder
In a small pot, boil 4 cups of water
with 1 pinch of salt.
In the meantime, prep the shrimps
by soaking them in some lemon juice
and rinsing them under some cool
running water.
Add 1 teaspoon of minced garlic,
Lightly sprinkle some garlic powder.
You can never have too much garlic.
Do the same with the onion powder
Add some seasoning salt to taste
Lastly, cover the shrimps with some
dry parsley and some dry celery.
Use clean hands to mix all
the ingredients together.
Then set aside the seasoned shrimps
until you are ready to cook them.
The water for the spaghetti should be
boiling at this point.
Add the thin spaghetti by breaking
them in half.
Use a fork to separate the spaghetti
Then cook it until it is semi-soft, then drain
Next, remove the husk and the silk
from 2 of the corns.
Cut the corns in half, by placing
your knife in the center of the corns
Then roll them until they are cut all
the way around.
Grab both ends of the corn, and
break them in half.
Rinse the corns under cool
running water and place them
in a baking dish.
Before baking the pieces of corn,
Rub some unsalted butter on each piece.
Bake the corn on 350 until
they are slightlybrown.
Preheat 1 teaspoon of olive oil
in a large skillet on medium heat.
Add a hand full of mixed bell peppers
Stir the bell peppers until they are soft.
Make sure to stir the bell peppers occasionally.
Once the bell peppers are soft, add the
seasoned shrimps then stir.
Flip the shrimps occasionally and cook
them until both sides are white with
a slight orange tint.
Once the shrimps are cooked,
add the chopped spinach and stir.
Add 1 cup of "Roasted Garlic Alfredo"
to cover the ingredients then stir.
Simmer on low for 3 minutes
Add the drained thin spaghetti
Use a spoon and a fork to mix all the
ingredients evenly with the spaghetti
Simmer on low for 3-4 minutes so that
the spaghetti can infuse all the flavors
from the sauce.
I served my Spinach Spaghetti with
my baked corn and I top it off with
a little bit of finely shredded
parmesan cheese.
Enjoy!
