HOW TO MAKE DEEP FRIED BUFFALO CAULIFLOWER

I wanted to come up with a fried spicy cauliflower recipe. I was thinking about the ingredients for a couple of weeks and what I was going to use for the recipe. I know that I wanted it to be well seasoned and spicy. Cauliflower can sometimes retain water which can make it slightly challenging. But I finally got a recipe for the cauliflower on my first try. I want to share the recipe with all of you.


Ingredients

1 medium cauliflower head

1 Large cage-free brown egg ( or egg of your choice)

1 Cup of presifted flour or flour of your choice

3/4 of Seafood batter mix

2 teaspoons of green seasoning

Check the website for the “Green Seasoning Recipe”

1/2 Teaspoon of paprika

1 Tablespoon of seasoned salt

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Vegetable oil

1 tablespoon of onion powder

Cajun seasoning

1 bottle of Louisiana hot sauce

Prep

Remove the florets from the main stem of the

cauliflower

Separate the florets into smaller florets

Rinse them under some cool running water

I got about 3/4r bowl of cauliflower

Batter mixture

Add about 3/4 cup of the seafood batter mix into a

bowl

Add 1 tablespoon of onion powder

Add one teaspoon of garlic powder

Mix all the dry ingredients

Add 1/2 teaspoon of seasoning salt

And 1/4 teaspoon of paprika

Mix all the dry ingredients together

Mix in the large brown egg

Gradually add about 1/2 cup of water

until you get a smooth and thick mixture

Add 2 teaspoons of green seasoning

The mixture should be smooth like pancake mix

Moving on to the coating add about 1 cup of flour to a

Ziploc bag and set it aside

Preheat 1/2 a pot of oil on high heat

So as the oil is heating up  

Coat each floret with the seafood batter mixture

You can use any kitchen tool of your choice but 

my choice is the screwer sticks it works for me

Add as many florets as you can into the bowl

Add them to the Ziploc bag to coat them

with the flour and set them aside

Shake off the excess flour

Once the oil is ready, add a few of the coated

cauliflower

Allow them to cook until they are golden brown

If you want them to be extra crispy fry them twice

Continue these steps until you have deep-fried

all the cauliflower florets

They should have a beautiful golden brown color

So let's make them spicy

I added just a few to a bowl since that was my

first time trying this hot sauce

Drizzle some of that Louisiana wing sauce

over the pieces of deep-fried cauliflower

You can also use a Ziploc bag for this step

Mix and spread the wing sauce evenly 

throughout the cauliflower

And yes they are hot the Louisiana wing sauce ain't 

no joke
