Baked Steak BonelessTilapia

Whiles I was grocery shopping, I came across this 4lbs bag of frozen Tilapia. Each piece was about the size and thickness of a steak,I call them steak Tilapia.

The price was budget friendly for the amount of pieces. My first recipe would be to bake it just to see if it would shrink like most fish when you bake it. This is what I came with.

Ingredients:

4 pieces of frozen Tilapia

1 tbsp of green seasoning

Lemon juice

Fish seasoning

or

Lemon pepper seasoning

1 pack of Sazon Goya

1 pinch of salt

Prep:

Defrost fish by placing it in a bowl

and submerging it with warm water.

Add 1/3 cup of lemon juice or vinegar

Soak until defrosted but not to soft

Preheat oven at 400 degrees

Rinse fish with cool water

Add green seasoning

Add salt

Add 2-3 sprinkles of fish seasoning or

Add 2-3 sprinkles lemon pepper

Sprinkle  pack of Sazon

Mix all ingredients so that all pieces are covered

the seasoning on each piece front and back.

Place in a large baking dish

Pour 1/3 cup of lemon juice in the bowl

mix with remainder seasoning left in the bowl

Pour over pieces of fish

Bake at 400 degrees for 20mn  then flip each piece

Bake for an additional 20 mn

Can be served with mixed vegetable rice

Check out the recipe on my blog

and for hands on cooking check out

my YouTube video tutorial.

As you can see, it did not shrink after baking.

Enjoy!
