Steamed Tilapia
Ingredients:
2 pieces of tilapia
1/4 piece of onion
3 green onions finely chopped
1/4 piece of green bell pepper
1 medium tomato
lemon/lime juice
Garlic
Seasoning salt
1 pk of sazon
1 bay leaf
Water
1 tablespoon of tomato sauce
Prep:
Defrost fish in a bowl of warm water with 1/4 cup of lemon juice for 10 minutes then rinse.
Finely chop all vegetables and set aside.
Bring to boil 1 1/2 cup of water (enough to cover fish).
Add 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
Add vegetables and other ingredients.
Bring to a boil
Add fish
Cook covered for and additional 15mn on medium heat.
PS.If fish is fully cooked you should be able to cut a piece with a fork. Also the color of the tilapia will change and will no longer be pink.
Enjoy with some rice or fresh steamed/grilled vegetables.
