Easy Ground Turkey Casserole Recipe
When I cooked this dish, I named it Macaroni lasagna.I gave it that name because of the layers.When my friend came over, he said that it was a Turkey casserole. So I guess it a Turkey casserole.
Ingredients:
1 pound of Ground turkey
Ragu Roasted Garlic Parmesan sauce
Prego Italian Sausage & garlic sauce
1 tbsp of vegetable oil
Mexican grated cheese
Macaroni & cheese 3 cheese blend
1 box of Mueller Veggie pasta
Adobo seasoning
Homemade seasoning mix
Onion powder
Prep:
Place turkey in a bowl
Add dry seasoning and mix
Bring to boil 1/2 pot of water
Cooking:
Preheat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil in a skillet
Add seasoned turkey to heated oil
Stir
Cook until turkey is no longer pink on med
heat
Add 1/2 bottle of Prego sauce
Mix and cook covered on low heat for 20 mn
Remove from heat and set aside
Add pasta to boiling water & stir
Cook until soft but not mushy
Drain & rinse under cool water
Preheat oven @ 400 degrees
Once pasta is drained, place back in a large
pot.
Add Ragu sauce and stir
Sprinkle some Mexican cheese
Sprinkle macaroni and cheese blended cheese
Stir in both cheese
Cook on low heat for 5 minutes until
cheese is melted.
*In a large baking dish add one layer of pasta
Add one layer of meat
Sprinkle both cheese to cover layer
*Repeat above step until dish is filled
Last layer should be pasta sprinkled with cheese.
Baking:
Bake uncovered at 375 degrees until top layer
cheese is melted.
Cover with foil and bake for an additional
30 minutes.
