Homemade Taco/Burrito Tutorial

Ingredients:

1 lb of ground turkey or ground beef

1 pack of taco seasoning

1 bottle of taco sauce

Garlic salt (optional)

Celery salt (optional)

Olive oil

1 pack of taco blend Mexican style shredded cheese

1/2 - 1 cup of water

1 small bowl of Cherry tomatoes

1/2 of a lettuce head or 1 pack of shredded iceberg lettuce

1 pack of soft flour tortillas

How to defrost frozen turkey:

Bring 1 cup of water to a boil on medium fire

Add turkey

Add a small dash of celery salt/flakes

A small dash of garlic salt

While turkey is cooking, take it apart using a fork

Make sure to do alternate sides

Once turkey is completely defrosted and taken apart let it cook until brown

Make sure the meat is well done by making sure it is not pink in some areas.

Drain water from meat

Taco Meat Prep

Place meat back into the pot on a low fire

Add a small amount of olive oil less than 1 tsp

Stir

Add taco seasoning

Add taco sauce and stir 

Add 1/3 to 1/4 cup of water

Simmer covered for 1/2 minute

Vegetable Prep

Cut lettuce into shredded pieces

Dice the tomatoes and set aside

Tortilla Prep

Heat a skillet on low fire

Place tortilla in the skillet for 2-3 seconds

Flip it to warm up both side

Taco Serving

Place 1-2 tbsp of taco meat on a tortilla

Spread vegetables on top

Spread cheese o top of vegetables

Spread taco sauce (optional)

Add 1 tbsp of sour cream (optional)

Servings 6
