How to cook Shrimp Coconut Curry
Shrimp is one of my favorite seafoods. I can make a variety of recipes with shrimps."Shrimp Coconut Curry" is one of my favorite seafood meals. I prefer to use the peeled shrimps for my recipe, because I do not like to sit and peel them. In this recipe I'm going to show you how I prepare my "Shrimp Coconut Curry".
You will need:
1 bag of peeled shrimps
1 cup of coconut milk
Onion powder
Garlic powder
Seasoning salt to taste
Lemon juice
Curry powder indian or jamaican
3 Green onions finely chopped
1/4 Onion finely chopped
1/4 Bell peppers finely chopped
3 Garlic cloves finely chopped
1 tablespoon of Vegetable oil
Prep
Place the shrimps in a bowl
Cover with some lemon juice
Set aside for 6 minutes
Rince under cool water
Sprinkle seasoning salt lightly
Add garlic salt
1/3 teaspoon of onion powder
Cover the shrimps with curry powder
Mix all the ingredients
Add chopped 1/2 of the chopped vegetables
to cover the shrimps and mix
Set aside
Add 2 -3 teaspoons of curry powder to a small
bowl
Mix in some warm water to make a thick paste
and set aside
Cooking:
Preheat 1 tablespoon of oil and add the
chopped vegetables
Stir and let them cook on medium fire until
The vegetables are translucent
Pour the liquid curry over the vegetables and
stir
Once curry sauce starts to bubble
Add marinated shrimps
Stir shrimps with curry sauce
Cook on low for 10 minutes
Add coconut mlk and stir
Cook for an additional minute covered
Serve with white rice
I served my "Shrimps Coconut Curry" with
white rice covered with red beans
